Cloud Engineer

Would you be interested in a long-term Cloud Engineer contract position at one of Germany’s highly established retail companies?

Our client is looking for a Germany-based contractor to join their team for a 12-month project. The role is mostly remote with occasional travel to Hamburg once every quarter.

Tasks and responsibilities:

• Work on the conception, implementation and operation of cloud-based topics with a focus on AWS.
• Help with the entire product life cycle within the team
• Exchange knowledge and develop yourself personally as part of product teams and in cross-functional communities of practice
• Use Infrastructure as Code to ensure maximum resilience and automation
• Advise product teams on integration with IT systems and embedding in the infrastructure
• Continuously optimize existing structures taking into account economic aspects, information security and architectural guard rails
• Define and develop monitoring solutions in collaboration with the central analytics team
• Implement changes to resolve issues and user support requests
• Lead IT (sub-)projects and work in interdisciplinary project and product teams
• Coach on cloud-based topics ( AWS , Azure)
   

Your Profile:

• Completed studies in (business) information technology, business administration or comparable training
• Several years of professional experience in a comparable, agile environment using Infrastructure as Code
• Solid understanding of containers, Kubernetes, Linux and TCP-IP networks
• Knowledge of at least one scripting language such as Shell, PowerShell, Python or similar.
• Experience with Azure, AWS , GCP
• Good communication skills in English and ideally Germany
