The Role
We are looking for a Cloud Security Engineer to join our team and work alongside cross-functional teams to develop, operate, and enhance platform security. You will play a key role in ensuring security is at the forefront of our cloud solutions while working closely with engineering teams to address challenges and improve security capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
✅ Enhance security features and engineering capabilities of the Cloud Platform, including automated deployment pipelines and secure controls.
✅ Develop automated security solutions to reduce manual operations.
✅ Work across the entire software development lifecycle, from requirement gathering to deployment using CI/CD.
✅ Serve as a security consultant, guiding the engineering teams on attack vectors and remediation strategies.
✅ Contribute to software security architecture and provide insights for product design and service improvements.
✅ Apply standard security frameworks for analysis and collaborate with platform teams for resolution.
✅ Work with engineering teams to strengthen security across the platform.
✅ Engage with security teams to continuously improve data protection.
What We’re Looking For
✔ 3+ years of security experience.
✔ 3+ years of hands-on AWS Cloud experience.
✔ Strong knowledge of fundamental AWS services (networking, storage, database, computing).
✔ Expertise in AWS security architecture and ability to develop reference implementations.
✔ Experience implementing security features at scale using AWS native security services (e.g., GuardDuty, Security Hub).
✔ Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and deploying security mechanisms.
✔ Proficiency in Git, Terraform, and Python (familiarity with Jenkins & Rundeck is a plus).
✔ Strong collaboration and communication skills to work with engineering teams.
Useful Experience
✨ Experience in Pharma, Biotech, or similar industries.
✨ Knowledge of GxP environments.
✨ Familiarity with GCP, Azure, or Alicloud.
✨ Data analysis experience and using insights for decision-making.
✨ Experience with code quality and security compliance reviews.
✨ Hands-on experience with penetration testing.
✨ Expertise in infrastructure as code (IaC) with strong testing capabilities.
