Data Catalogue Specialist

For our customer a major managment consultancy, we are seeking a Data Catalogue Specialist - with good experience in Collibra, Semarchy or Informatica

this is a 6 month B2B contract - 
rate is 20-28 EUR per hour 

Key Skills 

• Data Catalog Management: Create, update, and maintain the data catalog, ensuring all data assets are clearly defined and categorized.
• Data Classification: Classify and tag data assets with relevant metadata to make it easy for users to find and understand.
• Data Governance: Assist in enforcing data governance standards for data quality, security, and compliance in the catalog.
• Collaboration: Work closely with data engineers, data scientists, and business users to understand their data needs and ensure that the catalog reflects the current data landscape.
• Metadata Management: Define and standardize metadata for all data sources to ensure consistency across the organization.
• User Support & Training: Provide support to end users in navigating and utilizing the data catalog and offer training as needed.
• Documentation: Maintain clear, up-to-date documentation on data catalog processes, standards, and guidelines.
• Data Discovery: Enable users to easily discover datasets and other data assets relevant to their work.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in the data catalog process and work with the team to implement changes to improve usability and effectiveness.
• Tool Evaluation: Participate in the selection, evaluation, and implementation of data cataloging tools and technologies.
