Data Engineer

Data Engineer position available for our client based in Zurich, within the technology sector.

Your responsibilities:
- Designing, constructing, and managing scalable data pipelines for data ingestion, processing, and analysis
- Developing and enhancing ETL processes to ensure data quality and integrity
- Collaborating with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to grasp data requirements and provide solutions
- Implementing data modeling and database design for both relational and NoSQL databases
- Monitoring and resolving issues with data pipelines to ensure reliability and performance
- Ensuring compliance with data governance and security policies

Your experience/knowledge:
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL
- Solid programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala
- Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and their data services
- Knowledge of data warehousing solutions
