Job Title: GoldenSource Engineer Location: Basel

Role Summary: The Bank for International Settlements (BIS) is seeking an experienced GoldenSource Engineer to join the Banking IT team. This role focuses on enhancing and supporting critical Static and Reference Data systems used by central banks globally. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, experience in banking environments, and the ability to deliver scalable, compliant solutions.
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead operational support for static and reference data systems.
• Customize and enhance GoldenSource applications to meet business needs.
• Analyse business processes and translate requirements into technical specifications.
• Participate in strategic projects, ensuring quality, timelines, and budget adherence.
• Manage application changes using standard governance protocols.
• Develop and execute UAT plans in collaboration with users.
• Ensure cross-functional coordination and effective stakeholder communication.

Must-Have Qualifications:

• 5+ years in banking IT, supporting business-critical applications.
• 2+ years hands-on with GoldenSource or similar data management tools (customization, scripting).
• Proficient in Java, SQL, Python, Powershell.
• Strong knowledge of Linux and Oracle.
• Excellent analytical, documentation, and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience in project delivery, UAT coordination, and change management.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with XML/JSON, reconciliation tools, and data governance.
• Exposure to Podman, Kubernetes, and microservices.
• Understanding of financial instruments and data models.
• Experience with CI/CD, Kafka, and automation tools.
• University degree or equivalent.
