Linux Middleware System Engineer

This role is oen to permanant and contract employees - so oppotunity for both kinds on contract on this position 

• Carry out “Build” tasks for server operating systems and middleware components (Weblogic, Kubernetes, Kafka, Java, etc.)
• Specify and implement infrastructure as code and configuration management technologies (DevOps, GitOps, Ansible, Terraform, etc.)
• Take charge of certain evolution projects and participate in the ongoing migration to Kubernetes, the overhaul of observability tools (Prometheus, OpenTelemetry and log management) and the automation of integration and development chains
• Manage “Run” activities by ensuring the operational maintenance of systems in different environments
• Complete level 2 and 3 support and participate in pickets
• Be a driving force for the continuous improvement of the quality of services and processes
• Implement control measures for the elimination of failures
• Being a driving force for proposals for the architecture of technical solutions
• Participate in technical architecture solutions and decisions
• Write technical specifications and implement them
• Configure the technical components of the infrastructure
• Integrate and automate the deployment of business solutions according to the specifications given by the publisher
• Maintain technical documentation up to date
• Support more junior team members and the operations team.

Your talents

 

• You have university or higher education in IT (UNI, EPF or HES) or a qualification deemed equivalent
• At least 5 years of experience as a Linux systems engineer in environments with very high availability constraints
• You are familiar with On Premise environments in their hardware (x86), systems ( Linux , mainly RedHat 8 ) and virtualization ( VMWare, Nutanix, Olvm ) dimensions. Experience and interest in observability: Monitoring with Prometheus/Grafana, OpenTelemetry and log management.
• You are fluent in French and have a good knowledge of English.
