Windows Systems Engineer

For our customer a major Zurich based Financial Services organisation, we are seeking a Windows System Engineer for an initial 4 month contract 

Remote, flexible working from Switzerland

Microsoft Windows Senior System Engineer Level: Professional / Senior Service/project description:

• Planning, engineering and operation of complex IT infrastructures and business applications (Windows, Microsoft Azure): Design it, implement it, run it
• Responsibility for dedicated Hyper-V environments, as well as engineering the next generation solution
• Further development of Automation solutions with PowerShell (Infrastructure as Code)
• Supporting the implementation and management of security measures and contributing expertise to challenging problems.
• Ensuring system availability, performance optimization and regular maintenance of the IT infrastructure.
• Working closely with internal and external partners to solve complex technical problems Requirements and skills:
• degreein computer science (university, ETH or FH) or a comparable qualification
• several years of professional experience as a system engineer, ideally in a similar position
• very good knowledge in the administration of Windows servers and Microsoft Azure
• strong communication skills, ability to work in a team, initiative, independent and proactive work
• certifications such as Microsoft Certified (Azure, Core Infrastructure) are an advantage
• strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills and a proactive way of working
• good writing and speaking skills in English and German
• willing to work on-call
